Exclamation Sky viewing cards(blue),no longer fully decrypting

It appears that the blue Sky(UK) viewing cards, have finally been sent the kill signal.
As more and more viewers are reporting that their blue viewing cards are no longer decrypting subscription/premium channels in CAMs and Linux based receivers.
However the FTV channels e.g Five(105),Sky 3,Fiver,Five USA,Channel 4 HD,are still being decrypted.
The error message, being displayed is "Your card is invalid".
Looks like there is going to have be some deep digging in to those pockets for a the new white card.

They never actually send a kill signal for the old cards, they just let the tier dates gracefully expire and eventually switch off stream support altogether.

Im not so sure about that this time around. Theres plenty of reports coming in across the forums that blue cards have stopped decrypting the pay services but entitlements are well into December.

I can confirm that when I received my new white card I took the blue card out to use it in my dreambox. Infact I had two. One went into a tm9100 using gbox which does not all updates, entitlements on both had two months grace. The card in the tm9100 kept working for the full two months. The second one did not get put into the dm800 due to already using a gamma. Just for testing purposes I put the blue card into the internal slot using cccam. Within two hours the card had been hit with entitlements shown as missing.

Its not just date entitlements that are needed. Sky/NDS dont bother to inform older cards of keyswaps etc. Basically, once support for a particular card is dropped from the stream then it begins to lose function. There's no real necessity for kill functions as such as generally a card cannot last more than 1-2 months without the constant support.

Sky cards also have a default setup so that the non-arrival of valid EMM's for a certain period of time disables all actve channel tiers. This is to make sure the card cannot survive without its active EMM source.
