no platform found on a 1000 is there a fix available for this?

Unplug the box from the main then open it and take the simm clean out the simm slot then put the simm back in make sure it seated properly then connect and turn the box on, if that doesn’t work force update on it by holding the power button while plugging the box to the main when you see OHEY (something similar) then let go of the power button and press on FAVERITE > INTERACTIVE> TV GUIDE> TV then OK you should see on the display 1234, the box should start updating.

i dont get a chance to give it a forced update as it goes straight into an update when plugged in, goes through the process then comes up with err4 at the end.
if i view it in eng menu last words are wiping flash and restarting and goes through the same sequence over &and over!

remove the red jumper first for 30 sec then try it again but you will have to set the net id/ freq and pin again m8.

i will give that a go as a last resort before i lob it in next doors back garden

err4 is normaly atmels on the sim when it went into a roll 1 or both failed

tried all the above still to no avail borrowed a 4 chip simm module also never worked any more suggestions before i get my hammer out?

the atmels on the sim board you tryed would have to be blanc cos when you put it into a roll a part of the platform will go on blanc atmels if they have got some thing on them they will not flash////can you lift chips and have you got a progger mate////

i dont have a willem anymore as for lifting the chips my eyes are shot nowadays as i am getting old
