V+ hd box (sa8300) doesn't read smartcard

I have a v+ box which I bought cheap cos the guy tried to lift 512 chip and wrecked all the pads, anyway I have fitted a new blank 512 chip to the alt solder point using chartmans tut and forced the update which was successfull. i have unlooped card and written image but the box doesn't see the card. I get an error message saying "the smartcard may be inserted incorrectly blah blah blah" but i hav e tried card in different box and know it works cos i get invalid blah balh. I have tried a different reader and also tried 2 rom 11's but get the same error. The box is defo paired as I have checked the ird from card with nagra s/n on box.
Anyone know why i'm getting this error? I have checked the card reader connection in box and it is fine!

Box shows fta channels fine so the alt solder place for 512 has worked

Have you tried changing the rights date etc on the card in Nagra Edit ?

That shouldn't stop cards being read, that would display a different message like invalid or something. the box basically doesn't "see" the card!

Normally when get this message "the smartcard may be inserted incorrectly blah blah blah" you will need to check the BK & IRD again, make sure you write the correct BK to the card and the IRD should be backeards istead of 3E....... you should write it as ........3E, it is easy mistaking 8 for B and 0 for o.......

I got the bk/ ird from card when i glitched it. its defo right and paired! I have tried writing the ird backwards and forwards but get the same. i have tried mosc and fun! still get the same!

does the BK stars with 6D56, if that's the case then the box has been hit and the card isn't paired anymore m8.

Bk is true mate, defo hasn't been hit. I understand the concept of modding, have done lots of pace/ samsung's etc. This box has a fault, its not down to the card/ bk or ird, it simply doesn't see the card. In em it says card status "removed"!

I bought cos i was told that the only fault with it was that the pads were f@@ked from having the 512 lifted, i knew i could fix this, which i have, as the box boots now and shows fta channels. But it obviously has another fault as it doesn't read the s/c. I have tried a different reader and different cards, wrote the ird forward and backward but it still don't "see" the s/c (smartcard)

How can you be sure? Try another card reader to see if that fixes the issue. Also, check every single digit on your BK, don't mistake a "5" for an "S" or a "1" for an "I" etc.

Could be a broken track from the 512chip area to the card reader chip

I would appear that if someone else had tried to mod the chip, then they had already unlooped the card.
If this was the case then you can not get the correct IRD from unlooping the card again as this has to be written down when first try at unlooping otherwise after that it comes up with a dummy IRD, so if they had unlooped the card then your only hope is to ask them for the IRD.
