there should be transponder list posted on this forum somewhere, search for it and replace with the original one. I remeber creating one for uk cable, it is in the private FTA downloads

Always start with the software that comes with the card rather than trying to use 3rd party apps.

It also helps to know the details for your area. Get the NetId and default frequency from a subbed box. That should allow you to easily find at least one transponder !

I have been a member here for a while and you get to know who knows there stuff. This thread was attacked by the big dogs and most of you except Twintown all together.

Does this guy ever appreciate the level of knowledge required based behind these responses you all gave.....

I remember passively reading for 18 months before I found techwatch.

Some serious cable specific stuff is available here.....

well done guys

DVB-C/S/T set-up is very different to flashing a box and making it work, your box only has one task to do and the same firmware is tested by everyone. With DVB-C/S/T PC cards you have to understand that people install different codecs and different software, different cards and different decoder software, some use Softcams whrereas some prefer Hardcams.

Them there is the issue of signal strength and and PC processing power and the amount of RAM available and type of operating system the PC is running.

All of the Above are could prove Vitak to making a card work in your PC, its not as stright forward as flashing a Dbox or Eurovox and scanning for channels.

You could compare the two to driving a modern day automatic car as opposed to driving something like a series I landrover, they both drive, just one is a bit harder
