Default Nag 3, is it really that big a deal?

Been hearing a lot of negatives about the new Nag 3 encryption that will kill everyones boxes.

There's obviously loads of rumours 'if' and 'when' it is being introduced, but, is it really that big a deal.

When Nag 2 was released it got cracked in just a couple of months and the boxes were all back up and viewing everything (with a firmware update).

I know it's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string question' but is there anything to suggest that nag 3 will really end everything? The assumption surely must be that if the clever guys can hack nag 1 & nag 2, then they're probably looking forward to getting their paws on nag 3 for a new challenge!!

I suppose we have to remember the saying that nothing is impossible, and I suppose it is possible to getthe thing cracked eventually, that is of course if anyone is interested enough to try it, maybe nobody is, who knows what it might cost, and who would supply the money for it ? the plain and simple answer is we just dont know if and when anything at all will happen, its all just supposition at the moment, about everything, maybe no-one at all has been interested enough to try to crack it yet, either in Spain or anywhere else for that matter ...

We don't even know for sure that Virgin will use the encription nationwide we are just expecting them too, maybe its just a ploy by them,to get more people to subscribe, that they have done it so far...who knows what it might cost them, and do they have the money or even the interest to do it nationally ? we just dont know do we ? so we need to wait and see what does happen if/when ...

It might never happen ...

but it might,it certainly wont be the end of the world will it,if it does
