I have seen 1 or 2 where you can plug a hard drive in but is there anything available like Sky+ for example?

Instead of unplugging your subbed box I would buy a splitter and just leave it connected and on as VM may find it odd if the sub just disappears and doesn't call home @ some point!

Hi jonnylebrocq... as advised the EX5100, a great unit BUT have to stress you must ensure you buy a GENUINE one, and yes from all the extensive research I have done Lincsat would be a sure bet, perhaps not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for Genuine Unit, I have inadvertantly purchsed a Clone, Recording function does not work, defeats the object of why I purchased this particular unit ?..

I think the EX7000HD only uses ext. hd, this might not be much of a problem I guess I could, theoretically, connect it via usb to my ps3 and use that as my ext hd, would this work do you think?
