Hi Can anyone help i have a samsung 42" plasma and i have sound but no picture i am quoted daft money to get it looked at

This sounds silly but is the LCD panel cracked?

Just a little

Although a Plasma panel doesn't need to be cracked - laying it flat would kill it, any movement of the front and back glass panes relative to each other that breaches the vacuum that the plasma requires.
