Default Help needed to get thor 1 w - dish up against wall

Hi i have a 80cm dish attached to a technomate 1500, i have manually moved it to pick up both 13 & 16 e. I have downloaded the latest patch etc to go to 1w to watch some footie. My problem is that my dish is on the front of the house and can't move any further than 13e without hitting against the wall. Can i without moving the dish get a new LNB and offset it ?? Any suggestions gladly recieved.
Thanks in advance - Spun.

Hi,

Your best option would be to get a bracket that sticks out more, so you can turn the dish the right way.

There are other options, like putting it above the gutter.

Putting an LNB at 14 degrees offset for Thor on an 80cm dish focussed on 13E, does have a chance of working though, but if it does, it will have very little rain fade margin.

Apologies for the spelling - feeding baby at same time. I meant to say not brave enough in these winds..

Hi Robbo - i took your advice and changed the brackets. I went onto dish pointer and put my address in Birmingham in and it shows i have clear site. I can get 13e and 16e but nothing going west. I went back onto dish pointer and noticed that the lnb skew is - 11 degrees for 13e and - 0.8 for 1w. Sorry to ask a stupid question but do i move it clockwise or anti clockwise as i have never moved an lnb before. Spun
