pace 4000i on old software

I also have a pace 4000n box on cr1 which is now causing problems due to the 3.7 firmware release. In my case the normal place for the no update mod has not been totched so there must be more ways than this to do the orignal no update mod

Attached is a picture which may need reversing in your situation but for me it may have been done a different way so at present i do not know how to reverse this

this thread was very infomative/useful. shame that it never ended in any resolution.
this is the problem with forums like this. i've same problem with my box, net-id stuff.
guess what?, read all threads of similar problems and never get any resolution.

if i ask for help in a new thread, i'll get responses like read-up on other threads
with same topic.

running around in a circle. lol.

i have never seen/read a thread which actually explains, how to set net-id using fun/atmega on pace 4000 boxes. how do you make the int epprom etc...

most annoying aspect of such forums.

If you look in the sticky at the top of cable tv chat theres a tut for net id with a funcard, use net id v2.1.7 which you will find in downloads, if you get stuck just post.

If your using the box in a different area it wont update, i had a couple working in pure that stayed on old blue epg.

for funcard-net-id-tutorial, i get page on "FREE BEER" . the tutorial is
not there, see for yourself.
I looked at the libby method for net-id reset, but my box is di400-n,
and at the back there is a slot for usb. can i use usb-usb cable to reset
the net-id on my pacebx or do i have to use serial-scart?

u need the info for a "scart to serial" adaptor.beleive you can buy these from various suppliers but i made mine so you will have to search for it.
