pace 4000i on old software

Hi There people
i have just been given an od pace 4000i box as a project it came with a funcard in it and the bk and ird written on the box
the problem i have is the box is still on the old firmware of 3.5 and after making a new funcard for it with the temp fix for the flash i expected the box to try and update with the new card but it didn`t and now it is stuck on error11 and error 12.
i also did a reset on the box and pulled the red jumper and made a funcard netid changer but still the same problem.
i read the fun card that came with it and saved the dtails and tried to redo the card with same inteep and exteep and a new flash still no joy.
any body with ant info that would help i would be most grateful

if its in pure m8 leave it on it takes a while to update err 11 err12 will slowly change to just err12 then it should update

have done that already mate still the same,
however the netid for my area (leeds) is 41053 and when i do the card and check the em the netid has changed to 65535 from 09999

also comes up with message "your stb is experincing difficulties plese restsrt your stb

is your box is 4001?? if that's the case that box is for pure area only m8, that's why it will not update.

Hi abbs thanks for the reply and have already got a 4001 working in this area with 3.7 firmware (although some channels not working but main ones ie s sports and movies are)
think this is probably more an image problem than anything else

have a feeling it may have had a update mod done but,i dont know how to tell.
do you know how i can check?

have you tried using libby to set the net id?

need a serial cable for that dont you m8 i am using infinity unlimited usb on my laptop

in that case you'll just have to keep trying with funcard m8.
try booting the box with funcard inserted and feed connected that might get the box to update.

you can open your box and take a look, if you see anything out of place take a pic and post it for the peeps to explain m8.
