Default Just flashed modem to infinite how do i check if i have done it correctly?

Hi guys someone asked me to flash infinite for them on their ambit 250 as they didnt like haxorware, so i done the same method as the guide on this forum written by cockneysean and got to the bit where it asked for file name so i put the infinite name.bin file and it asked for what sector to flash so i put 1 and then press y for yes then y for yes again. then it was successful.

ok now modem connects to pc and says connected so its not bricked.

how do i check i have infinite on it

i have been to 192.168.100.1 and it says page not displayed

forgive me for being dumb how would i check.

thanks

Probably bricked if you saved a 2mb image to sector 1. When it asks what sector to use, this is a different question to what location to store a 1mb firmware image to (ie image 1 or 2). 2mb dumps go to sec 0.

You'd have used a 232 to flash it so connect that back up and boot modem with hyperterminal open. Post back what it says

They're gonna love you :-O

Lol yeah i usually end up setting em on fire or bridge all the legs so don't bother any more.

5101's are nice, essentially a 250 with JTAG

modem doesnt connect to putty, gives error in softjtag program, doesnt do anything in putty. when i turn modem on it only brings power light on and ethernet. before it used to be flashing on sync.

i also have another modem which powers on fine but when i plug in ethernet cable it doesnt recognise it. very strange.

I posted up a 2meg haxor r39 dump on UGM earlier if you need it..h**p://www.direct-filehost.net/files/0QRD9XPD/r39_2mb.rar

EDIT: yeah it's bricked. for your 2nd modem you could put usb drivers on and try that. Haxor needs SB5101/2 drivers off moto site
