Default Help with kryptview dw800 hd box hdmi doesnt work

Hi i recently sold this box to someone local and for some reason the box doesnt want to work on the hdmi connection, it works using scart but not hdmi.

but when i tried it at mine it works on my 19inch samsung using hdmi.

however it doesnt work on his 40" sony using hdmi

i have tried 3 hdmi cables still nothing. just a black screen

any suggestions

as i am confused why it only works on my 19inch samsung, i know there are some people that bought it on this forum that probably had it working on their tv using hdmi, would appreciate any help.

thanks

i think this is the menu you asked for: TV Setup

SCART@ CVBS
ASPECT RATIO:16:9
DISPLAY FORMAT AUTO
DIGITAL AUDIO ON
AUDIO COMMENTARY OFF
RESOLUTION 1080i
DVB SUBTITLE MAIN(HDMI/ypbpr)
COLOR ADJUST OK

Any thing else just ask

Are you able to access the kryptview menu system, or is it complete lack of signal!

Sounds like its a problem with the settings on the Tv rather than the DW800. Does the Tv have an A/V button on it's remote ? (press it a few times and see if anything happens).
Is there something in the TV's menu's that refer to input or output or maybe source ?
I run my normal kryptview through an upscaler and connect it to my Panasonic TV via HDMI there is a set up menu on the TV itself and one of the options is 'Power On Preference' if I have it on TV I get a blank screen, and if I select 'AV' the hdmi works fine.

Hope this helps.....The Sony Tv may have a similar setup option.
