Hello,

I have managed to setup a technotrend tt-pcline premium c card (with some success) on RitzDVB 0.6.4.2. I have followed the instructions on many posts, looked for the most up to date softcams, yankse's and fenrir's. I am running win XP, have 1.9.0.1 drivers installed for the card and have found just about every channel that i can already get on my cable box.

I think that my problem must be with decryption. I can listen to radio, can watch channels like the Test channel, preview channels and the like but most other channels including supposedly free to air channels like bbc1, 2 etc. are cutting up or have sound only.

My question is - what am i missing? I don't know what the plugins i list below are for but perhaps someone could explain what they do and how i use them...

Softcam.key, yankse.dll and fenrir?

I have these and they are apparently running but not appearing to do anything. Am I using these the correct way?

Can anyone assist?

I've never used anything like that, but can tell you that softcam.key is a textfile containing the encryption keys, if the keys used by the broadcaster have changed you will need to update them in there.

BBC channels are unencrypted on NTL, so it might be a driver problem or not enough PC resources.

Ritzdvb reports in the channels scan that bbc1 is a free to air channel. Do I need a softcam file for this?

Is there some kind of clever gizmo that will update this file for me? I don't really know what I should be doing with these files. I thought I had alredy got the latest versions.

look for the latest keys for your provider and area in the keys section.
Then simply edit the softcam file using right mouse and edit and look for your provider number Example= 05a1 and update the keys example
05a1 key 00 ae f4 re db ae 1a b1 once you have made the changes save and exit restart your dvb software and it should unlock the channels, providing the keys are active.
Vplug plugin has a selection for entering your softcam and updateing your keys without editing the file direct.
Make sure the plugin is activated in your dvb software menu
