Default slow down of internet?

ive got a 20mb line fitted and everytime i load up bittorent or azureus... the internet surfing slows down a lot, it sometimes gets and error when even loading pages...

so i have to close the torrents before continuing surfing

Its prob due to a number of things.

Broadband providers often restrict your download limits at peak times so even though you got 20mb, you will get nowhere near that at peak times.

Also, the torrent downloaders that your using will take as much as they can of your download speed. if your having problems, limit it in the options menu and that way you should be ok to use both!

try utorrent m8 and private trackers u will get what speed u pay for then but not with virmin as they throttle all the time only time u will ever get 20 is middle of night and even then its normally 15-18 meg top side m8 we all been screwed lol

Are you rinning this through a router? You may need to adjust your port setting's to enable better traffic, also, you should restrict (as stated) your download bandwidth running through a torrent agent.... They do hog your service.
