Default low snr

hi. using a db 500s with pli. standard sky dish
bcc1, channel 4 ect ect high SNR. np.
sky sports 2, bravo 2 high SNR.
picture displays.

nearly all of the other sky channels. SNR is like 64. no picture
ive read somewhere that db 500s needs at least a 70 SNR.

any idea why on most sky chans SNR is low and what can i do about it. thanx

You should try realigning the dish.

thanx kerrywez.
pretty sure it is the aligment or the tuner.
first thing im going to do is, take the db to a friends house and plug it into there dish.
if SNR rises then i know its the aligment. if not then it will be the tuner.
really would like to get a db 7020

kerrywez took the box to someones house. SNR was very high
came back home gave the dish a hefty whack.
SNR shot up. so thanx for your post. it was alignment issues
