hi guys i have my dish fixed on 1w at the moment and have channels. however today the weather has been pretty bad and i have had bad signal break up on most of the hbo channels and nova sports i have been getting a strength of 88 and signal quality of 50. when i switch to musiq1 and other music channel that are FTA or nat geo wild the signal shoots up to 97 and quality goes to 93. im just guessing here but im thinking my dish might be a bit misaligned i have not bein doing sat hunting very long so still new in the game and when i set it up i had the telly and box in the back yard and using the signal meters on the box to align it. its not the wind knockin it because the dish it very tight i have been out today to see if it has moved and its still the same. is there an issue with 1w at all?? when its dry outside i have no problems with any channels they all show 97/94 or 90/88.
oh for the records im in warrington north west uk and i have 80cm dish and technomate 3000d box. thanks in advance p.s sorry for the long post and if its confused you.

Bigger dish required - there are multiple transmission beams in use at 1W some of which are not particularly favourable for the UK.

Some of the channels are on different transponders, and different satellites, and so have different beams for the UK.
I would tune your satellite to one of the weaker channels, like Comedy Star, 12531 V 23340, and get gently move your dish to get the strongest signal quality you can, then test all the other channels. Beaten to it by Analoguesat, but I'd still try and see if you can get the channels mentioned, but consider getting a bigger, or better quality dish, even if only the fracarro penta 85cm, but a 1M dish would be better.
