I am also in preston area and lost BBC chanels last night but did a power scan and got them back no prob How come people are only doing a power scan as a last resort am I missing something it dosen,t seem to affect the box in any way or does it???

doin a power scan can cause you to lose your cdf ie your favs,and have to re organise your channels

Thanks for that....I am probably using my max v wrong.. I only keep chanels in alphabetical order so only takes a quick sort..and I don't use firmwr in case its a clone so just rely on bigmc codes updating .. what does cdf stand for

Itv 491.000 mhz chan 4 same. Itv 2 and 3 250.000 mhz

Im in preston area and all BBC channels vanished, didn't do a powerscan but manually looked through new transponders and found em all again down in the 200 area, a full powerscan will get them all back guys.

That's why i got rid of my eurovox was ragged off re scanning , get a starview and all that stops.

Hi there, i wonder if anyone can help? I too have lost itv, channel 4 etc and i've read all the threads on here about how to retrieve them but i'm a bit of a technophobe and don't understand what you mean by powerscanning etc? Can anybody explain to me in laymans terms what to do????
