ok another thing lol, reading about i am seeing quite a lot about this USALS, is the the ability to have 1 satellite locked in and by just clicking another in the receiver menu, then the motor should automatically recognise and move to that angle?
under each satellite in the list, i have another list including LNBP: ON LNBP Type: Universal LNB Freq: 10600/9750 22KHz: Auto DiSEqC: 1.2 Motor Committed: 1 under DiSEqC i can change it to USALS, but 1.2 motor is what the engineer left it on so i can move the motor manually. if i click into USALS it brings up a menu, with the satellite name and lets me enter a long/lat, what should go here? thanks |

longitude/latitude is your location
ie i'm in lincs and my longitude is 0006 latitude 52.3. you can either google these along with your area(ie lon/lat london) or try dishpointer.com. when you have found these you enter them in relevant boxes then scan for channels. you'll probably need to set up usals(not lat/lon) on every sat you search if it was previously set up on diseqc. if i'm slightly wrong would one of the experts correct thanks

ok, i was on astra 28e, i went to thor 0.8w, clicked usals, entered my lat/long, there was 2 options, rotate, which sent it slightly to the west but picked nothing up, or go to reference, which sends it all the way to the east as far as it can go, maybe im doing something wrong? or the dish is wrong?
thanks for your time and patience lol |

getting a bit out of depth now and i dont want you to damage anything
try coming out of settings and just select a sat(thor) and see if yer dish will go there,if so do a channel search but also keep an eye on your signal quality, this will help determine your on the sat. Are you sure yer long/lats are correct as this will also cause probs. |
