Hi all, looking for some advice, most likely to be something simple but i can't seem to get it going!, i have just connected up a component cable, but i cant get any picture on the TV. It's on AV3, TV flashes but no picture, its as if it is auto detecting a signal every three seconds.
Is there anything that i am missing? checked the instructions, Connections, and done a search, also checked on the menu on the Eurovox. But nothing, the scart connection on AV1 is perfect. Any help would be great Cheers EDIT:What a banger, on page 24 (face in hands) Last edited by ST2; 01-12-09 at 07:10 PM. |

Hey ST2,
I also have the same issue. Recieved the EX6000SD this morning and it works lovely. The picture quality in SCART for me is better than the VM standard box so really happy. Problem is with component tho, purchased new cable today but cannot get picture up on my 42" Panasonic Plasma tv. When i was on the box menu, it flickered faintly in green and blue for like half a second but i cannot get a normal broadcast picture to show. Im happy if im stuck with scart but just wondered if maybe there is something that i missed other than choosing component input on the TV and telling the box to output Component? Any advice would be much appreciated..... |

That's CVBS not RGB - don't forget there is no audio through the 3 cable Component connection, you need the extra 2 for audio

Having just bought a decent set of video component video leads(Pure OFC SHIELDED Component Video RGB YUV Cable 3 RCA Phonos) ,the best output i can receive is 560i and on a 50 plasma and the picture quality is very disappointing.I have the box set to component(YPbPr) on the av output setting.Anybody got any ideas how to sort this problem out. Many thanks.

My Ex6000 looks good for a cable box. I dont think cable box's in general have a good SD picture.
The cable's you bought wont make a difference really. You could of bought cables that cost you £2 or £100 and i dont think you would tell any difference. |

You will only get a SD output as it's not an HD box. You should get 576i and the picture is the best possible through component but will not be brilliant on a 50" TV especially if you are comparing to a true HD picture.
