Hi

I have read round on this site, but i can't seem to find how you are able to chip a cable box.

I understand you needa card reader to program the card but sureley you would need to have open the cable box or hook it to your pc via usb and run some code etc...

any help will be truly helpful

Thanks

No just programme the card, chipping is just a figure of speech, unless its a SA type box, just cut talkback in box , tuts are in downloads.
you had better be quick the encryption is being changed soon.

Thanks mate,

o ok,

I was just thinking like how you mod a console so i thought you'd have to do something like that.

O will do.. I can get some one to do mine, but wanted to just give it a go.

sorry i a bit new to all this what's a SA box?
I've just got the normal digital boxes NTL used to provide not the analogue one but the digital one. I'm sure its a Pace DI4000-T or -N something like that. is that a SA Box?

Is there a Syntax page on the forum like a dictionary of what different terms mean, as I've been a bit confused reading some of the pages on the site regarding Chipping as i'm not used to some of the terminology. If not its ok I'm sure i'll be able to pick it up.

Thanks mate

Hi guys,
Im Daz from Leeds.Ive just moved into a new flat on the outskirts of Leeds. Before i moved here i had Sky+ HD installed but now ive moved here there isnt a HD connection, theres the normal Sky cable link in the wall and Sky said that there might be some recording/pause/rewind issues with me having a HD box...which there is.Im not allowed to have the walls messed with so my mate at work told me to come on here and get some advice from you helpful guys. Just wondered if theres any machines out there that i can buy which have all the channels and benefits of Sky+ .my mate said that he bought a Dreambox for £89 and it has everything on there,he has the basic package from Sky which i have but he told me to get the info of you guys.

many thanks and all your feedback would be greatly received.

daz ako
