Default another sat newbeeee

thanks already as i,v crammed loads of info into my head over the last few days ......
moving from cable before i get hit by the new cards............

i understand i will need a dish (motorised is better)
and a receiver but the more i read the more confused i get with so many people recomending so many dif dishes and stuff

so here goes ..can some one tell me in english please with names so i can research
cheapest possible reliable setup for some kids channels a few movies but manly prem footy ( dont care if it,s in english)

any help would be greatly apreceated so thanks in advance

original dm machine prefered, clone at your own risk. dish facing south/south east from wall on house or clear view from garden. spare time to mess about, hammer drill socket/spanner set

thanks i was just adding a reply to your thread .... like the 2nd lounge looks like something i would do . i find i get more peace when hidding in the garden....

would that be a fixed dish or motorised and how many channels would i get mate....

Depends on what you subscribe to! Theres 5000 or so channels available in the skies above Europe bjt over half of them are scrambled.

with freesat i think you get 200 channels
what is the upside of a motorised system if you still have to pay subs...
need some kids channels and some sport pref prem footy i dont care if it,s in english

For most folks a motorised system is a hobby tool for exploring the skies. Its not a way to get guaranteed free tv. Ive got 6 dishes in my back garden, all pointing at different satellites. I actually watch very few programmes as Im far more interested in the finding whats out there and new channels that appear.

Almost all the pay tv services are secure scrambled nowadays. You are 2 years too late for multiple pay services being opened on patches & keys.

Theres some really interesting stuff out there if you know where to look. Ive seen some cracking African football feeds in the last couple of months, & enjoyed ladies beach volleyball on a couple of occasions
