Unhappy tt-1501-DVB Viewer-Windows 7 64bit problems

Ok Guys iv come stuck and need some help.
Heres is the problem so far....

1. Installed the tt-1501
2. installed drivers from CD

3. installed DVB Viewer
ran DVDviewer- got to select hardware page
DVB Device is Techno trend etc
Tunertype: Cable- Plugging it into Virgin media cable
State: preferred
New tunning method : ticked

SCAN CHANNEL OPTION
DVB System: Cable
Source: UK

No TV channles found.

So then went into options settings on DV Viewer -
settings>options>hardware>scan devices (image 1)
shows Technotrend BDA/DVB-T tuner, if i delete it and then do a scan again it comes back up. (screen shot attached)
Tunner part installed fine, installed the drivers and the tuner is listed in my device manager list as well......

my Symbol rate is 6952 (Birmingham-West Mids)
I went to the private FTp download the file > transponder file for dvbdream< placed that file in > C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\Transponders <

in scan channles
Target root I have 3 options Astra 19.2E>Hot Bird 13.0E > Astra/EuroBird 28.2E >>> what needs to be default? (image2)

Now in the Transponder list I do not get that file >it was called 5000.ini I can only see the attched list and I select UK from this list... (image3)

Then when I hit scan range PAT stays RED Signal is blank (please see the image attached (image 4)

any thoughts? Does anyone have this card working on a Windows 7 64bit?

Hmmmm, put that transponder file in the configuration folder - expand DVBViewer in programs (use this method for plugins etc) then see if you can choose the transponder file from the drop down box, I think the target root should be blank (drop down box) scan frequency should light up PAT etc in green, then scan range, dont know if you need new tuning method ticked, good idea to start another thread !!!!!!!!!!!!

ok guys some updates, just tried this now and still no joy I put the transponder file in
C:\ProgramData\CMUV\DVBViewer\Transponders

but was still not coming up in the list
so i opend the file in notepad and compared it to the UK file in the list the number 1 had a 4000 next to it as below- made the edit and saved.
[SATTYPE]
1=4000
2=DVB-C Europe

now the file is in the list and i can select but still same issue no channles found...

You can't get Cable on a DVB-T card. There're different technologies.

Hes saying dvbviewer is wrongly showing it as a DVB-T when in fact his card is a DVB-C.
