Default Upgrading to V+ Box

Hi Chaps,

Quick question..............

With the impending death of eurovox et al i'm re-thinking my setup.

If I upgrade my standard VM box to V+ do VM let me keep the standard box so that I can use it in a second room?

Thanks in advance.

As In if you upgrade one box. you keep the other firmware in the second room
of course, Eurovoxs' arnt all linked some can have more channels then other and certainly can not be upgraded if one of them is upgraded in your house.
Just watch what you doing, you might do something to send a feed back to your ISP or something.

Sorry mate, didn't word that very well. My question doesn't have anything to do with Eurovox - i'm talking about once Eurovox dies in my area and i'm only using my standard VM box for paid services...... I then upgrade the box to V+, will VM let me keep the standard VM box?, or will they request I give it back so that I don't use it in a second room without paying for the extra £9.50 p/m (or whatever it is) for a second room.

Thanks

Offer the engineer a few quid for it, but only if they ask for it back. I got left with my old one.

I've actually got two of the old boxes now from previous installations. the engineers are not too interested in the old box from my experience. You can just tell them you wan to keep just in case the new box packs up and you need backup. As I said in my case they've never even bovvered to take the old box away.

I'm pretty sure your old box won't work once you have a new box synchronsied with your account.
