Hi all tech heads get this one!been having trouble with my samsung modded box for a while now on some premium channels I have a message displayed sayin this channel is not available right now and once it completely got stuck and wouldn't even boot but took the cable feed out(high amounts of static!)gave me a shock,had a fiddle for a few days!and it started to work again as if by magic!
anyway borrowed the missus mums box tonight!;-) to watch the boxing at mine but its doing nearly the same thing and there's not even any channel info now!BUT my box round hers is completely opoerational now with every single channel and not a problem!
now I know this would suggest that I have a problem with the cable feed,but what could be wrong with that?its plugged straight where it comes into the property?also I am using a kettle lead off of an old stereo to power it?would that make a difference!?please help before 8!lol

its deffo a cable strength issue mate you may need putting higher up in the cab if all cable connections are nipped up tight

if said cable box has been modded properly you woudn't be watching the boxing anyway. Check the wires leading into the property for kinks etc...

no this box is a legit one i've borrowed, how do you mean higher up in the cab?

how can I check signal strength?is it in the em menu?and how do I get there again?!please!?

press guide then 8//then 6//red button about 4th line down snr should be around 30db plus

4th line down says return path is off!?but why would this be?this box is subscribed
