Technically this is from 1978 but the series ran into the early 80's so I guess it qualifies, possibly the best SciFi series of the early 80's

Everybody's favourite time traveller. The 80's had the best title sequences although some of the stories were a bit ropey.

This one is from 1987 in the Sylvester McCoy era.

IMHO the best comedy/scifi from the late 80's

Smoke me a Kipper i'll be back for breakfast.

Notice the satellite dishes on the underside, no dodgy cable for the boys from the dwarf
