I have bought a new st 5 box. And have the software on a usb stick, now when I put the usb stick in my st box it comes "warning this is not an IRD file"
I have formatted the usb stick and also used a 2nd usb stick that I have read on here but I still have the same problem. Any ideas fellas???

Had same problem solved by formatting usb stick FAT 32 on PC (rather than using box to format) then add software to usb.

Hi, Can any one provide me the latest firmware for StarView 5 the box USB II. It stoped working last week :-(

starview 5 can not be connected to a sat dish because it has a dvb c tuner. which means u can only use it on a cable feed.

if you want to use a box with a sat dish then you would need a box like dm500s, starview combo etc etc

the starview combo is a dual tuner box meaning it works on both sat or cable. Same with the open media 500cs

the letter at the end of each model.. i.e Dm500c, the letter C means it can only be used on cable and so on.

and these tuners are not swappable.
