I think you need 5 posts to view the Private FTA section which is : http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/25...oad-links.html Never fixed a Di4000T. I dont know if both ex C&W and TW models of Pace 4000 are similar or not. You can look at the circuit board pictures to see if they match and if it had a no-update mode done to it. |

Is there anyone in the Ilford area willing to help me with getting the 4000n to upgrade. I have looked at the no mod reverse and it looks like it will require some very fine soldering skills.
With regards the to the 4000T, is there any way to upgrade it out of area and then get it to work in the CW area? |

Tdubman, thanks. I have read all the thread from the beginning and you have advised that a 4000T will update in a TW (non CW) area and after that I am not sure whether it can then be used in a CW area or not. Sorry.
I have three boxes, none of which are working. 4000N, 4000T, DITV1000. I would like to get two of these working. They used to work but I am now getting the same symptons as others in this thread ie channels starting from 1,2 etc and only FTA channels and a few others. Previously I would go to someone to fix these problems, but am being told I need to change the boxes, which incurs too much cost. I am willing to pay if someone wants to assist, and to give one of the boxes away if someone can help fix two of them. I would like to be able to fix them myself, but am very new to playing with these cable boxes. I only have a PC and can only talk to the 1000 box via RS232 port. I can do some soldering, but when I opened up the 4000 box, to reverse the no update mod, would seem to take some very fine soldering skills as all the connection points are very small and close together. Please get in touch if anyone is willing to help educate and fix. |
