Alright folks, ive got an above box which has gone off. Its a rom 11 card, i have whiped the info on card usin the bo9 script in nagraedit, Jtagged box to get bk and ird and used the rom11 non locking image from download's, i leave the box running for 15 minutes and longer to update, when i switch to s*y sport's it says i have not subscribed to that channel. Am i doing something wrong? I enter IRD Backward's, BK forward's but i dont change anything else, just write image.

Check the rights dates mate...

The rights dates in tier 8 say 21 22 if that means anything to you?

any reasoning to why the expire and rights date differ?

Something i found a long time ago....

Modification date is the date that this particular tier was last updated. Whenever you maintain your card set this date field to the date a few days ago. So, if you were doing maintenance today (20 Mar 2007) set it to something like 1E72 (18th Mar 2007). The date should not be too far back and it should be updated at least every month or two (just like a real subscribed card would be)

Begin date is the date you first took out your subscription - this never changes. Set to something like 1C74 (20th Mar 2006). As long as its a while ago it doesn't really matter !

Expire date is the date of card expiry. All UK providers presently set this to some silly date far in the future. All cards from a particular provider tend to have the same expiry date so its probably best if you read it from a real subscribed card using a program like TierInfoLite. Setting this to the wrong value could potentially be a point for a future attack so its probably worth taking time to get it right.

Rights date is the date until which you have viewing rights. Set this to approx 1-2 months from the date you used for your modification date. So, for the above modification date a good rights date might be 1E9E (30th April 2007).

The trick is to keep the duration between the modification date and the Rights date to a maximum of about 2 months and to keep your card regularly maintained.

Its probably less important with TIT/OPOS type cards as you can always reprogram them but for Moscs you really have to do this properly. The days of using silly dates for Moscs are really a thing of the past !
