Mate, first let me suggest a factory reset, I updated to december version and it only worked properly after a factory reset (after the update).

I then did a full power scan and although I had to re-sort my channels due to the increase in the number of favourite groups from 8 to 12, my box now works perfectly with full EPG descriptions etc..

Also it seems to be much faster yet again when responding to the remote, something that had initially been poor with the march firmware.

If you must insist on downgrading though, I have sucessfully done so using the same method used to upgrade, literally!

Good luck, lemme know how you get on

Some members have said the same thing, others have said as I did, seems that the remote control response times may not be down to just firmware alone.

How old is your box mate? Got mine late June early July this year if I remember correctly from lincsat. Was yours from someone else?

Tried what mate, reset or re-flash?

Try this:

>put your downgrade choice of firmware on a FAT32 formatted USB drive and rename it flash.tbn
>do a factory reset (without USB in the box)
>Turn off the box at the back with the switch
>Insert USB and turn back on, should then downgrade/upgrade depending on which firmware was chosen and reboot.
>Should then be working, you will need to re-scan as the increase in number of favourite groups from 8 to 12 causes the channel list to become messed up requiring a rescan to get your channels back, sadly you cannot sort your channel order with STBM using the new December firmware either..

It may say that the firmware is 'Same Version' on the LCD display, ignore this as it's not true, mine told me the firmware was the 'Same Version' regardless of whether it was older or newer.

If you still can't get it going let us know what the box does/says when you attempt it

The EPG works fine for me, but as I said only after I did what I suggested above.

Nagra3 in my opinion will never be hacked, there will always be some way to circumvent the encryption such as Cardsharing or IKS (currently most popular way to get TV cheaply/free from providers using n3).

There may in time come new methods to circumvent the encyption similar perhaps to cardsharing and IKS, but that said other methods may also come that are entirely different.

No doubt there will be a lot more information relating to cardsharing methods etc floating around UK websites/forums after the switchover to n3 is complete, perhaps we will learn more then.

The above is of course only my opinion and I could very well be wrong and nagra3 turn out to be hacked tomorrow but the chances of it seem very slim and I personally think even if it did get hacked, it wouldn't be publicly available due to greed with previous similar hacks in the past.

Hrm, deffinately from a different batch I would say given the time difference between our purchases, maybe some had cheaper remote components used? I heard of some users losing remote function entirely so I don't see it being impossible.

Since my warranty is worth jack, I may open the box later and take a peek inside (curiousity more than anything else)
