Default Additional multiroom box

I'm having Virgin TV and broadband installed soon and am hoping that someone out there can advise/help me. I have ordered broadband, 1 V+ box and 1 stanadard V box (both on M+ package). However once it is installed I am planning to add an additional Eurovox but am not sure what I need to buy in the way of splitters.

Presumably Virgin will have a 3 way splitter outside the house with 1 going to TV1, 1 going to TV2 and 1 going to broadband (or do they have a 2 way splitter outside 1 to additional box and 1 going to an internal TV/data splitter for the V+ box and broadband). When adding an additional box is it just a case of replacing the external 2 way (or 3 way) splitter with a 3 way (or 4 way) splitter. will I need to include any attenuators/isolators?

I was planning to buy the splitter direct from Technetix (do VM still use Technetix Qamtex splitters?).

If anyone has any part numbers for splitters that VM would use for this type of install or can offer any advice, I would be grateful.

Thanks, and apologies for the long winded message!

Yes, I realise that Nag3 is coming but unfortunately this was all arranged before the Leeds NAG3 issue. I understand that it is only the premium channels - Sports, Movies, Asian and smut - that are blocked at the moment in Leeds. As far as I know the 'package' channels (ie those that form part of the M, M+, L and XL packages) can still be viewed on Eurovox and similar boxes - perhaps someone affected in Leeds can clarify.

Hence my question, because whilst these boxes can still pick up non premium channels, then at least I can use it as an additional 'multiroom' box in the kids bedroom. However, I need to be sure how to add an additional output to the set up that will be installed by Virgin.

I hope that makes sense?!?

Yeah it'll work for now. No-one knows how long it'll be before the rest of us get the prem channels switched over to N3, and how long after that the normal 'package' channels will take to follow.

To add a second cable connection, buy a 2-way f-type satellite or cable splitter (like h**p://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Way-Splitter-Virgin-Media-Starview-F-Type-DC-Pass_W0QQitemZ260508054138). Buy RG6 co-ax cable for the new cable run to new box, and screw-on f-type connectors to put the ends on the cable.
