Ive got a Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit OEM Untouched, Unactivated legal copy here if you want it(free, just pay for disk+postage+packaging), though I suspect that you might not need that one and you'll probably need a 32 bit version instead. Alternatively, you could torrent a legal copy. They're quite hard to find, but you should be able to find one

With my computers, I only sell them with 64 bit Windows because of the amount of RAM, and people complaining "I dont have enough RAM" and when I buy the disk, I make a backup as not to damage the original in any way. No way am I inserting a £70 disk without making a backup, and even then Im using the backup only lol. I think there are quite a fair few legal torrents of Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Technically your not actually inserting a £70 disk, The disk is about the cost of one you would pick up from a local store, The £70 your talking about is 99% toward the license key.

You say you have a untouched 64 bit OEM? Does this come with a license? If so, i would pay the P+P for it, if its not been used on another machine of course which i guess not if its untouched.

Download one form a torrent site mate. Any 32 bit vista will work, They all come pre loaded with the software to install every version of Vista, from basic, through to ultimate. As i have said, only the license keys are unique, all the disk's are the same.

Be sure to download your drivers from your manufacturer (Of Laptop) from their site before an installation is ever done.
