can any me if the starviews boxes are no gud at all now,just have the five channels(leeds)just to bin it or keep hold of it.cheers.

You can still use it to receive FTA channels mate. I would keep hold of it because you never know if/when a Nagra 3 fix will become available and you will kick yourself if one does and you decided to bin your box

my starview is still ok because i dont live in leeds but i was thinking if i would be able to recieve freeview channels with my starview when nag 3 comes to my area.last time we needed a new firmware last december i could only get 5 channels.is there a firmware for the starview2 that will let me get the freeview channels ?

All boxes will behave as the ones in the Leeds area are now, just the terrestrial channels I'm afraid. The only thing, as has been said, if there ever is a fix for N3, then the box might well be OK for it, though I would not be holding my breath till there is any.
