Default clicking my username takes me to someone elses profile

Hi,

Any chance one of the mods could have a look into an issue that im having please, if I click my username where it has "welcome /24" it takes me to a completley random persons profile page so at the moment I am unable to access my profile, I think it because of the / in my username but it seems to break something

Can you not click on the "User CP" on the top menu bar ?

Thats a different link

Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

instead of -

Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums - Powered by vBulletin

Its probably the extra / that breaks the link as it doesn't like the //

Ah, right - it's because you have a forward slash in your username, it's upsetting the rewriting of the forum URLs.

Normal forum URLs are in the following format:

/showthread.php?t=2877

I've been a URL rewrite plugin installed which adds the page title to the URL, ie:

/2877-help-fixing-dreambox.html

which makes the links on TW more human friendly.

Unfortunately, because a forward slash is a way to designate a new folder on a website, using one in your username means that the software is getting confused as to whether it means there's a new folder, and so bringing up the wrong URL.

I figure the options would be:

1. Just to keep as is
2. Edit the forward slash out from your username

If you could let me know which is preferred, if any changes are required I'll get that actioned when you're ready.
