Well as the boxes in Leeds don't work no more, like mine, what can we do with them?
As we know it is not allowed to sell VM modded boxes in the classified section, so how can we pass them on to other forum members who might be able to get a good few months use out of them ![]() At the moment I've a redundant Samsung 2100c & a V+ lying around, oh well never mind. |

Don't be Scrooge!!!
Actually and seriously, picking up on the original point .... they are still some use outside the N3 test area for a little while and it seems a waste not to pass it on and "stick it to the man" a little longer. So, need some advice as follows ... I've been wondering about my old (but working in right location) Pace 4000 box. I suggested to someone to use it in Keighley but he said he thought that as my box was NTHell (says it on the front) that is wouldn't work in his exCW area. Is this correct? I mean .... aren't they universal e.g. will work in any UK location (with due consideration of N3) or are they limited based on the original cable companies regions (can't see how the box would know?). I thought you just told the card where it should work e.g. NTHell, ex CW, etc. and your location (e.g. London) by using the right codes when programming the card and off you go .... whereever you are. Apologies if this seems a dumb question but threw me as he seemed sure and turned down the box ... figure a few months/weeks/days is better than nowt. Cheers
