Default Eurovox Max V instalation issue

I am currently trying to install a Eurovox box i got from a relative who upgraded to HD Virgin. Here is the steps I took:

1. Plugged in box straight to lead from broadband splitter, this gave me some channels ok but not all. Also some were flickering.

2. Unplugged main in cable from splitter and inserted into Eurovox and ran full scan. This gave me all channels as I hoped for. No broadband though as not connected at this point.

Now issue is once I plug back into splitter I lose all the signal (tv states service unknown).

Is there a way I can get my Eurovox and broadband to run at the same time??

Have you tried the swapping the BB and Tv around from the splitter ? That way if the BB doesn't work then its a faulty splitter, if Tv is still poor get a booster.
