Hi, I'm Brian - I'm the site admin and tea-boy.
![]() Buying a forum sounds nasty and corporate, but I just work from home as a full-time webmaster, running a small SEO company. I already admin a few other well-established forums, and am currently developing a few others - and I plan to make Tech Watch a very successful site. I'm 33, have 3 kids, and only came to the internet 5 years ago as an aspiring science fiction/fantasy writer looking to self-promote - I still haven't finished my writing, though, as I always seem to be working online. ![]() Anyway, any questions, feel free to ask. ![]() |

Yep, that's me - I'm usually known on forums as "I, Brian" - made about 500 posts at Digitapoint, but have a couple of thousand at places such as SitePoint and WebHostingTalk.

Hi, Brian,
I've always wanted a tea-boy of my very own. What have you got in single-estate Ceylons? It's cool to hear you're a writer. I am too, both spec fic (SF/F/H) and non-fic. I don't think I could get by without the internet--or a laptop. Seems like I've spent the last year shlepping the 'puter around in my backpack and escaping the house to get my work done. At the house I mainly chase the cats when they get into things. And clean the sink. And make the bed again. And vacuum the cats. And re-alphabetize the CD collection.... Anyway. Can I ask after your works in progress? I hope TechWatch fulfills all your aspirations. Best, Niki

Hey, great to hear from you Nicole - always glad to meet another writer in the making.
![]() I actually run a much larger SF/F forum, which not only has an active aspiring writers section, but we also have some traditional print published writers, a couple of editors, and a literary agent regularly posing on the forums. Here's the lin if it's useful to you: http://www.chronicles-network.com/forum/ I don't have much online at present in terms of writing - still trying to hone and polish the craft. ![]() |
