Guys,
I don't know about the rest of you but I am sick of the level of abuse and cyberbullying that goes on within this site between senior members and junior members. It is such a disgrace. Junior members come here and ask questions because they do not know and seek answers from those who do. Only in most instances the reality is that senior members seek to abuse those who do not know. Comments are made to make junior members feel idiotic or stupid. And that is wrong !! Junior members should be educated and informed not humulitated. Those senior members who abuse junior members are the ones who should be banned or reprimanded not the other way round. Get real guys , your not 3 years old anymore , this isn't the school playground, so GROW UP !! |

What the hell's up with all the bad vibes floating around TechWatch tonite?
Btw, if you're going to make threads like this, please include links to such medieval abuse.

Pick any thread mate , always some senior member abusing a junior member.
I have been a supporter of this forum for many years and believe in its cause, however it really grinds my gears when individuals are abused for asking questions they just simply do not know the answer too and seek help. This forum should be about helping those who do not know, not abusing them. |

If you spot any abuse please use the report post option, the red warning triangle, an email will then be sent to the mods who can deal with the abuse.

I think your point is paramount to my post, To make junior members aware that if they feel violated by the replies of senior members that there is a way to complain. I think this should be emphasised more by the site and be a way of cracking down on those rouge offenders.
I must emphasise that not all senior members are unhelpful as there are some fantastic guys out there and as I said originally knowledge is power and what a power over the years. Shame not all members are not so cool. |

The regulars on the forum are not robots, and do get sick of people asking questions that have been answered on the 1st page. (happens more than you realise). And lastly, the senior members have probably sent hours that turn in to days, that turn in to weeks & months worth of reading to know what they know, so it can be very annoying when someone posts a thread that's almost a duplicate of one posted 2 hours ago but they can't be bothered to even read the 1st page. This post isn't a go at the OP btw, just a "general" view of how things may be perceived by some. cheers, lee-ds

I take on board what you are saying. However to make sense of a situation I would suggest that those who think that repetion of advice is way to much to be useful on a forum; that they refrain from advising and thus abusing others on the forum. Abuse of junior members is wrong and should be filtered out !!
As an alternative to abuse why not just send a link for the junior member to follow ?? Why not help junior members , not abuse them !!Remember senior members how you got to be senior members !! If I want to learn I ask questions. It is time the abuse was stamped out !! |

Guys,
Look at the lauguage I have used in my post, cyberbulling is wrong !! The site should be about helping others not the opposite. I hope junior members read these posts and realise that they don't have to take the abuse or threats that other members make against them. As a forum members should come together to fight the cause, that of the cable or sky provider , not each other. So once and for all can we call a truce and stop abusing each other on this forum. Thanks. |

it does get annoying though when you get new members asking for help with lets say for example how to tune or flash a certain box and you look at how many posts they have made and it does,nt amount to more than 1. you would think they would read the stickies or use the search first as the answers to alot of the questions have already been answered and explained in much detail and with graphic detail.
