Problem with Starview Super Box (Keeps Re-Booting)

Hi folks, New here.

Serious problem with this box at the moment, It's been fine since last christmas with no problems at all.

Last night it re-booted and seems now to be stuck in the rebooting sequence. The sequence goes by this order:

BOOT - LD80 - ON - (random number) - you recieve a picture for 5 seconds then it freezes with the volume still hearable. It then repeats this sequence over and over.

Now this is what is baffling me, I plugged old V box back in and that is displaying the LD20 error aswell?

Note: I do have a Starview 1 box upstairs with no problems at all. In full working order.

Can anybody help? Or had simular problems?

try a factory reset and then rescan m8 first

Unfortuntely you cant get into the menu's, the re-booting is basically every 30 seconds. In this time, the remote control is useless and non-respondent.

The software im using is:

API ver 8.02e
Boot ver 8.0
30. Nov. 2008

Any suggestions?

Try re-flashing firmware, reset and scan for channels.

I'v read going back to ver 601e may help get rid of the Ld80 error, Im willing to give it a go. Does anyone have the file please?

you can try a hard flash this reset my starview 2 it might work here's how to do it

turn the power off at the back of the box get the GT ROM open while the box is turned off hit download the flick the power switch on (it might take a few goes ) when it finished downloading it should of reset the box
