Hi, Sorry to have to tell you this, but there are very few free channels now. The only sat worth going to is Thor @ 1W, the digiTV channels are open there, but only for a short time more as they are soon going to N3 and it is secure at the moment and has been for over two years now. If you bought the box with the intention of getting Sly for free then you just wasted your money.

I assume that you know you need to download an image and then flash it to the box, to do this you need to use a piece of software called dreamup and you will need a nul modem cable, which you should be able to get in your local computer shop, remember it has to be a nul modem cable. I use the several images, all run through the BarryAllen software, but you still need an image on the box before you can use BarryAllen, it is the flash image. If your box is 100% genuine then use any image, but if you have any doubt then do not use the Gemini image even though it is about the easiest one to use, more user friendly you might say.

When you have all the above, you do not need BarryAllen to start with, come back to us and we will be only too happy to help you as best we can.

Regards Wez

So you think that CS is for free. Who is going to pay for the card that is going to be shared? Sorry but some cable boys do not grasp the meaning CS, what can't you understand about CS, the two words say it all, someone has to have a card to share. Then if you have not got a Linux box you will have to buy one.

Sly Italy stopped CS on their cards, though with the right EMU that has been fixed. Sly are thought to be about to do the same. Be sure about this, Sly will master a blocking of CS and as soon as they do VM will buy into the process. The block might be in place before VM roll out N3 in your area and if they do you will be lucky, because you will have been spared the waste of money spent on a Linux box.

It is a sign of the times and there is nothing any of us can do to stop it. It is the same with satellite, we will soon all be shafted. I had a good run with satellite and have no problem with satellite broadcasters doing what they have to do to protect their income, unlike some cable boys, who seem to think that it is their God given right to get VM for free, never mind the fact that VM are not in the business of providing free TV to anyone. Sorry for being so long winded.

Regards Wez

Only you can answer that one leedsunited123 - a motorised dish will obviously give you more satellites, but many people happily get by with a fixed dish.

Too right you do, but it is relevantly easy to do one yourself, if you are any way handy at DIY. There are a few tutorials on here on how to do it. The Dreamboxs and any Linux box are quite a steep learning curve and it takes a lot of time to get them as you want them and to get used to doing all the things that they can be used for. Any box is of very limited use stuck on one satellite, so do please get your dish motorised and a 1 Mtr one would definitely be an advantage. You should be able to get the 1Mtr dish and a rotor for less than a ton.

Season's Greetings Wez

even if sky it/de/uk and extra coding to ecms it will be copiedsky and nds are not the only decent packages and enc out there .the best shot at anti card sharing is a coding that only allows you to share 1 package so it then becomes channel sharing more details to follow. i am a mole and i live in a hole
