You might try Ebay there are some good deals on there. I was going to get an extra 1 Gig on this machine, it has 3 at the moment, my local computer shop wanted €40 to fit it, but he did not have the right one as my machine is only about 3 months old now and that was just after I got it. Hope you fine some and it would be good if you do that you report where you found it so some of us other Acer users might benefit for the information.

Which ram is it first and foremost? You cant just buy any, you have to get compatible.

The two above posts are correct. When I said that my local puter shop did not have the right RAM for my Acer Aspire 5738Z that is what I was trying to say. You need to have the correct RAM for any PC/Laptop, if it is not right it will do no good and you will just be throwing your money away.

hi all thanks for ur replys sorry for the late replyi had a look on ebay and found a guy on ebay called vst-solutions and he has 99.8% feedback the laptop i have is about 5 years old and only has 240mb of ram so i was wanting some thing to make it a wee bit faster but with this laptop it has 2 ram slots and cant just bang 1gig stick in it so i needed 2x 512mb of ram so we swaped a few emails and manged to get 2x 512mb for a tenner with free p+p so if any one is looking for parts for there laptop have a look for him on ebay and maybe he can help you out
