im thinking about getting sky+ but i do not have a tv licence i dont really agree with, especially when i hardly ever watch BBC, my question is if i sign up to sky will they give my details to tv licensing??

Yep, I'm afraid there is no way round it, you must buy a TV licence if you want to watch or record live TV (unless you are aged over 75 years)

Even if you are over 75 you must have a TV licence. However, it is free.

i would just get sky installed and let sky give your details to the tv licence boys, then let them get intouch with you about getting a tv licence, then get it.

who knows by the time they get around to you, you mght have saved a couple of months money. unless you have money coming out your ears (unlike me) and ur not bothered

Any retailer passes your details onto tv licensing if you buy something with a tuner in it. Ive had letters about a purchase of anything from a tv card for my computer to our 28" tv.

they wont fine u straight away lol ur just a flopper.

they will send u letter, nicely asking you to get 1. its only if u constantly ignore the letters for months and months that they "might" take action.

im 24 and we never had a tv licence until 2 years ago

I've had them knock at the door in the long and distant past, we all sh&t ourselves trying to hide the telly.

Too late though, he'd heard the eastenders theme tune. A licence was bought pretty sharpish.
