Default Low running costs energy efficient "average" laptop/netbook

Hey all, Ive decided in a laptop or a netbook. Primarily I want one because of the lower running costs, however I do want a good battery life out of the product.
My current specs for my PC are:
X2 4850e CPU
250GB HDD. 147GB free, but likely to go down
2GB DDR2 RAM
6150M2MA motherboard
Corsair VX-450W PSU
Windows 7 "acquired" lol

Those kind of specs aint bad for me at the moment, and Im wanting a laptop with some good specs, good battery life, low running costs for about £300-£400 if anyone can help us out. Its an absolute nightmare on google, seeing as though there are so many netbooks now and some claim to have 12 hours etc...

Wouldnt mind a laptop though!

After doing some more research, I think maybe the newer Samsung N140 is the best for me, unless of course someone else finds a better one at the price?

I like those specs, but the battery life is its biggest downside.Advent say it has 4 hours, so realistically it has a 1-2 hour battery life

Hey all, I did some googling and fount this from yahoo Intel just released new, more efficient CPU's two days ago. Their electronics show is in Las Vegas 2010, so I think Ill stick with a Samsung N140 with the claimed "11 hour battery life" More like 7, but thats what I want lol. Also, in 2011, expect to see more efficient netbooks using less power, more powerful specs and also with a better battery life(my top priority)

Oh BTW, Ive now seen the show is in January, so not so far away. Ive also seen some new netbooks with an N450 CPU for preorder at a nice price. They have a "6 hour" battery life, however they're only running at something like 2300mAh

I think I may now get an Asus 1005PE. seeing as though proper tests show that it has an impressive 8 hours battery life, obviously the manufacturer will claim more
