Default max v help required

hi there i am new to the forumz but have been enjoying reading all the helpful posts, basically here is the problem ...my friend has a eurovox max v..i dont know what he has done (he said he was trying to add channels) but basically his box now has about 20 channels most of them just black(none of them premier channels) and the ones that he has got are all freezing and glitching) i have tried a a fast scan and a deep scan but it still only finds the same few channels,i am in the ex c&w area of manchester....what would be the route of choice...should i reset the box and reflash or is there something easy i have missed..i have never done one of these b4 as i am still using a pacebox myself

thanks in advance cannylad

Hi m8 welcome to the forum
do a factory reset delete all channels then do a power/deep scan on the symbol rate for your area 6887 or 6952
