Irdeto cam & viewing card

Hi, does an Irdeto cam de-scrammble channels when an official Irdeto viewing card is placed in the cam?

I recently purchased a new receiver and placed my cam & card in the slot but it does not de-scrammble any channels, even the ones that are 'on' the card. When the card is placed in the normal card slot it works ok on the channels it should.

I am looking at the Bulsatcom package on Hellas Sat 39.0E.

not all bulsat cards are Irdeto
