Default Smartcard - How do they work.

I hope this is allowed. If not feel free to remove it.

I have uploaded a file to RS .

It basically explains about smart-cards , how they work and how people reverse engineer them... i think it's worth a read.

It may explain a bit about what we are coming up against.

Hi when I try to access that link I get the following message from my browser opera:illegal-url-5. Not sure that anyone should follow this link, just incase it is to some dodgy site.

Regards Wez

It's just RS not dodgy.

I can attach it to the thread if that's allowed ?

Just thought it was a good idea to share with people . . . its got a few good points in there.

With a good read some members may know more about smart-cards and find out its not as simple as chucking it in a glitcher .

PMSL the info on that link is YEARS out of date - its referring to Videocrypt & D2mac cards

Videocrypt was killed off waaay back in 2001!

Its about as relevant as a chocolate smartcard to todays encryption scene

Hi mate I fully accept that your intentions are good and I do not doubt your sincerity. Your motive for posting the link is admiral and I am sure that reading it might have resulted in less silly posts, but it is never a good idea to post live links and as far as I am know it is frowned on by the Mods. If you wish to post a link then make it non live, just put a = at the start of the link it will then not be live.

Seasons Greetings Wez

Well Thank You .

Some details in the file still apply for newer smart-cards .

Oddly enough i don't have the option to edit my first thread so if a nice mod would like to sort the Link out that would be good if it is infact frowned upon.
