Hi Guys,
need a bit of help. trying to update a friends box. its a di 4000n on cr3 software. it hasnt had the no update mod done to it so it should update itself shouldnt it? i've reset it several times and re do net id but nothing. even tried the wembly trick but still no luck. i done my box a few days ago i got the same a 4000n but mine was on cr1 and mine had the no update mod so i had to reverse it. should i do the no update mod to it and then reverse it? I think you hold left, right and up while connecting the power to update these boxes. Although, I think PACEs are unable to update if they are on old CR3 software. My uncle has a PACE 1000 Phase B which is still on old CR3 software and you cannot update it unless you lift the Atmels and put a 3.6 dump on them.

have tried pulling the jumper and leave it for a while then put it back on, i've never had a problem updating pace boxes for my area, or you can force update m8.

yea pulled red jumper, it didnt make any difference. when i took battery out thats what reset the net id.
a lot of people are sayin cr3 (the purple menu) won't update, but i think there is a way around it. |

nah dont know how to set net id using funcard.
i've always used libby. took battery out, that reset net it to 09999, used libby to put net id to 41050 ex c&w which did ok then powered up box but still on same software. i did same method with mine 4000n only difference it was on cr1 blue menu and also had to reverse no update mod. and when powered up box it updated straight away. |
