Default network help

Hi all.
need help with network problem.
two pc's, main pc (desktop) xp pro sp1, second pc (laptop)
win98 and xp pro sp1 (but only trying to network with xp).
wired network via hub all belkin equipment.
from main pc i can see laptop and shared folder, ok
from laptop i can see main pc but cant see shared folders,i get error
"user is not accessible, you might not have permission to use
this network resource, contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions. Access denied"
i can share and use the printer that in connected to the main pc
with the laptop.
i can ping both ways ok.
ICF turned off on both.
same workgroup on both.
same login on both.
turned off file sharing on both, tryed on and off.
looked in reg for IRPStackSize, wasent there so i
created it, in both pc's. and set it to 15.
banging head on wall now, what am i doing wrong guys

working now, dont ask how i got it going cos i dont no well i say its working, i can share folders and printer(and that will do realy) but cant connect to internet, but can see my shared speedtouch connection, think i must get a router

Only now I have read this post M8, but a router is the way to go and they are not expensive now.

Hiya matejust seen this myself 99% of teh problesm with filesharing are different workgroups this isnt a problem on your case. The second biggest killer is a username without a password winxp hates thatso does 2k but ole 98 doesnt mind at all.
