how to get freesat on humax foxsat hdr

Newbie here who needs a bit of advice. How do I change over to Freesat mode on the humax? i have agood signal and loads of channels but all on non fressat (all numbered 50xx). As non freesat channels I can't get the epg past 2 hours & therefore set a recording for a later time - making the unit useless to me. I go into the stb mode to change it to freesat but it has no effect & when I go back again it is still saying non freesat. Many thanks for any help

Try this (not tried myself but googled it)

To switch between Freesat and non-freesat mode you need to select the following menu options:

MENU
SETTINGS
STB MODE (press the right arrow to switch between the two modes then press ok)

Tried this but it them tells me that no channels are detected & gets me to retune. freesat retune does not acknowlegdge my postcode so i have to do a manual tune & as I already have the channels in place nothing happens - despite swapping from freesat to non freesat.

I think that you have revealed why you are having a problem.

Your Freesat list has not been tuned in, hence you can't select that mode.

You need to figure out how to put your postcode in properly, or try another postcode. Get that sorted and it will work I think.

after trying yet again with postcode unsuccessfully i decided to risk a factory reset. this resulted in a new software download and then it accepted my postcode & I now have freesat. I'll try swapping between the 2 at a later date & see what happens.
