I have just received a EX1100 and even before I plug anything into it when I plug in to the mains the red stand by button flashes. I try to power the unit on with remote but nothing just the red flashing on front. I have tried plugging everything in to the unit and connected to TV but still flashing red light on front. My friend has one of these and when it is plugged in to the mains the red light comes on permenent and when switch on with remote it switches the unit on and goes to purple.

Any help please.
