R4i Gold Help!!!!!

Just bought my son a r4i gold for his dsi. Downloaded the lastest firmware, formatted the memory card and put new software on the memory card. When inserted in dsi it comes up loading and that is it.
What am I doing wrong? 1.4 version

Have you copied the firmware onto the card in induviduall files like this, and did you format to fat32?

Yes I have done all of the above.

had the same problem with a r4 card awhile back could not get past loading sent it back for replacement new card worked a treat.

Tried all kinds finally got it to the loading page but then stayed on that for over an hour

Reformated then Reflashed, now am getting System date error! please check NDS system date

I've read a few things about date of the file to match the system etc and people have got it working, but don't understand what they mean as am a total noob to this.

Give me a cable box and am sound, am bigger than this little box!!! lol

Sorted it.

go to r4i-gold . com download the 28.09.2009 file
format to fat32
flash
add games

if youe get the system date error go to settings and change date to the 28.09.2009

I suggest you guys do not use R4 gold. I strongly recommend you R4i SDHC v1.4.

R4i Gold problem Loading?
I recently bought a R4i Gold for my dsl, but whenever click on the icon on the DS main menu, the DS supposedly freezes with a black screen that says "LOADING" in white letters

Does anybody have a solution?

99% of the time the LOADING message hang for all R4 type cards means that you have either downloaded the wrong software or have incorrectly copied the software to your memory card.

When downloading the software ALWAYS download from the website printed on the card itself.

I also agree with the recommendation for the R4i SDHC (1.4 version) - seen loads of issues with R4i Gold in various forums.

How to use R4i gold
. 1. Put your SD card into the card reader and connect it with your PC.
2. Download the latest Wood R4 kernel RAR file
3. Extract the files and copy all the files to the root of your SD card.
4. Put the SD card into the R4i gold 3DS flashcard and insert it to your DS/DSi/3DS.
5. Power on your DS/DSi/3DS and run.
